Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and settlesoal.ai, operated by SETTLESOALAI ENTERPRISE ("SettleSoal", "we", "us"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

settlesoal.ai is a study aid for Malaysian secondary school students preparing for SPM. The current service includes:

Subjects supported at launch: Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (5 STEM subjects). We may add, change, or remove features at our discretion; significant changes will be announced in-app.

Paid subscriptions must be purchased by the payment account holder or with the payment account holder's permission.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-excludable rights you may have under Malaysian consumer protection law or applicable app-store rules.

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice via email and in-app banner. New prices apply to your next renewal after the notice period.

Our takedown process will require enough information to identify the material, verify your authority to act for the rights-holder, and contact you about the request. We will review properly submitted notices promptly and may remove or disable access to disputed material while we investigate.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms or use the service in a way that puts other users, our staff, or our infrastructure at risk. Any refund or continuation of paid access after suspension will be handled in accordance with applicable law, platform policies, and the seriousness of the breach. You may close your account at any time from the profile screen or by emailing us; see the Privacy Policy for our deletion timeline.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SettleSoal is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that retrieved questions or AI explanations will be accurate or sufficient for any particular examination outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 6 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or RM 100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost grades, scholarship outcomes, or examination results. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify SettleSoal against claims arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Kuala Lumpur have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, save that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property. Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at support@settlesoalai.com and attempt good-faith resolution for 30 days.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription and close your account.
